tamar korn is a vocalist and songwriter who pays melodic homage to jazz, bluegrass and folk music from the 1920s and 1930s. tamar grew up in an conservative jewish household. she was classically trained on the piano, and when she inherited her grandmother's collection of ella fitzgerald records, jazz came alive for her. throughout her college years of studying experimental theater, she expanded upon her vocal abilities. she is currently a professional musician in new york city and abroad. her music has taken her to canada, france, lithuania, china and other places far afield.
