- Poet
katherine robinson grew up in maryland, near washington, dc. she graduated from amherst college in 2008 with a ba in english. she graduated with an mfa from johns hopkins university in 2012 where she studied with mary jo salter. between degrees she worked at a wildlife sanctuary in the shetland islands and at the folger theater in washington, dc. next fall, she'll be working as an adjunct professor at johns hopkins university teaching fiction and poetry. she writes, "it was a delight to work with fortnight. i was so impressed by the care and artistry with which fortnight curated each entry. it was an honor to see what the journal did with my work. the editors used images and voice recordings to make each poem come really alive. they also did a wonderful job guiding me to create additional background material to give a context for each piece. i've shared the entries with many people, and they've all commented on the richness of the experience of reading the poems on fortnight. i'm thrilled that these entries will remain archived and accessible."
