winston chmielinski is a figurative painter who studied studio art, literature and philosophy in paris, beijing and new york. winston chmielinski received his bachelor of arts in 2011 from new york university's gallatin school of individualized study with a concentration in philosophy and creative writing. he studied contemporary french art, language and literature at l'institut catholique in paris, france before enrolling in university in the united states. during his studies, chmielinski had the opportunity to broaden his experience by traveling to beijing, china to study modern and contemporary chinese literature at peking university. on fortnight, eric shiner, director of the andy warhol museum, spoke to winston about his work and the global art marketplace.
