bruno perillo is originally from chicago, illinois. he studied painting with kurt kauper at the school of the museum of fine arts in boston where he received his bfa in 2002. he came to new york and studied with nelson shanks and has since shown at such institutions as slag gallery, robert miller gallery, grg, mighty tanaka in nyc and irvine contemporary art in dc. bruno has lectured at georgetown university and collaborated with the georgetown medical university and the lancet journal on some of his pieces. he currently lives and works in brooklyn, ny. bruno writes, "the fortnight experience was great. with so many talented people that you have documented i got the feeling that artists of all kinds are a great quiet force, like gravity, always present, always forcing change. thank you for the opportunity to talk about the process by which i make my work. "
