dolan morgan is a writer living in greenpoint, brooklyn. his fiction and poetry can be found in venues such as armchair/shotgun and the believer. his story "cells" received an honorary mention for 2008's italo calvino prize, and his story "investment banking in reverse" was nominated for a pushcart prize in 2011. he has a degree in education from new york university, and served as an english teacher in the bronx public schools system. dolan writes, "since fortnight concluded, i've been writing and performing. i continue to research, document and mythologize airplane hijackings onward into infinity (there are so many!). in the past few months, i've had work published in field, the believer, elimae, sand and numerous other journals. i've done readings with 1441, mental marginalia, southern writers, highwaymen nyc and apt. a number of articles were written about a project of mine called "google place reviews", an ebook for which the proceeds are all thrown away in random spots across the city and country. i performed the role of flash gordon in armchair/shotgun's radio drama production for brooklyn litcrawl. fortnight journal impacted my career in that it provided a venue for and promoted a type of cross-genre work that is often difficult to find a home for, offering and preserving a standalone glimpse of a larger project i continue to lose my mind in."
