sarah is an actress and dancer that studied mime in paris, france. she created six works on mime and movement for fortnight. since fortnight, sarah has created a number of new pieces, some of which got the attention of a prominent physical theatre company in washington, d.c., happenstance theater. she will be devising an original full length production with them in the fall. in sarah's down time, she has played lead roles in a number of professional shakespeare productions, including saturninus in titus andronicus, helena in all's well that ends well, and bottom in a midsummer night's dream, and has performed at the white house and embassies in d.c. of her experience with fortnight she writes, "i had never been asked to create my own work before being approached to become a contributor to fortnight. i am now focusing nearly all of my creative energy on devising and performing new work. fortnight challenged me to realize something i may not have had the confidence to do otherwise. fortnight brought together a group of young people with an impressive diversity of skills and a likewise impressive commonality of spirit. it was a sincere honor for me to be included in this group."
